Years ago I was hiking when I encountered a man who was lost and looking for his group. He was looking for a sign. It took me about a minute to realize the group had lost the idiot on purpose. He kept repeating that he was looking for a sign. I restrained myself for a while as he followed me repeating that he was looking for a sign. Eventually I told him how to get to the trailhead parking lot and that he should get in his car and get on the highway where he would find a lot of signs. Shortly after that we ran into his group. They were not glad to see him. I slinked away. I think he was the guy the group left on the mountain.

My dad retired from his factory job after he had done it for 30 years. Within a year he was working full time selling motorcycles at a Harley Davidson dealership. He has been there for more than 20 years now (he is 73). He went to part time last year, making it the first time in over 50 years he hadn’t worked 6 day weeks. Meanwhile, my retirement date is February 1, 2033. I will be 57. While I may not retire at the end of that school year, I am doing a lot to make sure I CAN (financially) if I wish to. The younguns can have my job if they want it!

@DougG said in Grifters gonna grift: I pity anyone who tries to do a parody of Donald Trump these days. to be effective as a parody , one must be able to somehow exaggerate his level of ass-Hattery, which does not appear to be possible.. Except DJT manages to best himself in the ass-Hattery category time and time again. The guy is brilliant in his own way. And totally weird.

Have heard tales of a time when foraging was popular. It was called the Great Depression. One such tale was about groups rabbit hunting. The entire group was after one rabbit. Rabbits were hard to find.
