I think it’s so funny that crokinole is having a moment. All my board game folks are also talking about it. I had no idea that it was created in southwestern Ontario and that it was, until fairly recently, not played anywhere else. When I was a kid most people I knew had a board.

When my mom was being awakened by her Apple Watch saying she was in AFib, she mentioned it to her doctor and he asked her for the file. They hadn’t caught anything unusual on her stress test so the fact that the Watch had recorded several instances prompted the doctor to look into it further. I use mine to record rapid heart rate when I have an episode of SVT. I’ve had SVT for so long I have a hard time accurately saying how frequent episodes actually are so this has really helped me keep track!

I was pretty sure it would be really good; the combo of salmon and that sauce is a natural. And I hadn't noticed the feta in the recipe for the sauce but I agree with leaving it out.

I told you all a long time ago my advice. My advice was to stop focusing on the Republicans so much and to focus a lot more on the Democrats. We got weak to non-existent policies with Democrat because we didn't focus on what should be traditional (are traditional) Democratic achievements and values in domestic policy, and having demanded practically nothing and having received as much, we will be the ones to blame it Harris loses, not a man who has not been in office for four years, not Jill Stein, not anyone else. I also said the administration's foreign policy is in your face duplicitous, frankly horrendously bloody, and couldn't be better designed to write off multiple core Democratic constituencies as if had been done by design. Will laughing at Trump be as much fun if Harris loses? I would have guessed no but since it's been happening non-stop for the four years he was in office followed by the four years when he wasn't I'm going to have to place my bet at yes.

I have to correct myself. This song's author and composer are-- Author: Sir Henry Wotton Composer: Michael East Hyperion Records Limited, 1981 This album is something I've also listed to countless times. I don't know who might enjoy it. You might @wtg. https://music.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_kZdjgp_qcDnLDaay7ZFP0XckGTBxNHta8&si=ApoZmgKK-EdzuIyF I listened to ancient music in my early '20's. I think I'll take a deep dive into it now. I love it and it's very uplifting. I've been promising myself for a long time I would settle down and listen to ancient music again.

Florida's capitol says, "**** ***." There's no denying it. It must be one of the worst if not the worst in the country.

The quote was from Liz Cheney, not Dick Cheney. But yes, they are both supporting Harris.

I lost a lifelong friend to ovarian cancer in 2016. She fought it for eight tough years before it finally got her.

I love the unnaturally green relish. It's like a Christmas hot dog.

I've seen a couple of YouTube videos about incidents like this one (including this particular incident), but this story added a lot more color to the event than the videos can do. Big Al

@Big_Al Good points. It is a combo unit. Three beeps signal a smoke problem and four beeps signal a CO problem. And it chirps when it has reached end of life. https://www.firstalert.com/us/en/products/alarms/combo-smoke-carbon-monoxide-alarms/1046800-10-year-battery-2-in-1-smoke-co-alarm-with-slim-profile-design-1046800/ This particular one doesn't have a specific display that shows the actual CO level. We used to have a CO-only unit that did, but have been going for the combo units for some time now. There are actually two units on our second floor where the bedrooms are, one at either end of the hallway. There are also the same model units on the first floor and in the basement where the hot water heater and furnace are. It was just the one unit that beeped, it was three beeps (smoke), and it didn't beep again after I cleaned it and reset it. I figured we were OK. This isn't the first time a spider, or dust, has caused a false alarm.

I do like a good Saint-Émilion (probably as a result of initially drinking some in France in the company of some Frenchmen. Too bad that Pennsylvania liquor laws keep alcohol off the shelves of Costco here. Big Al

Here’s something I didn’t have to do in CA -blow all of the water out of the sprinkler lines so they don’t freeze. [image: 1729800592221-fc5850b6-ac18-4a23-9eb0-edf97a3bcdf0-image.jpeg] Thought about doing it myself but decided to hire it out this time so I can see how they do it. On line I was told it takes a big air compressor. I have a fair sized compressor but nothing like this: [image: 1729800745895-fcd88765-8e93-4453-9d69-199254d2bbcd-image.jpeg] SK, have you had your sprinkler system winterized yet?
