@Bernard I was a bit conflicted, too. But then there's this update I posted in another thread. It's from a friend who does medical research at a university medical school. We just had a virtual town hall meeting with the president and several constitutional law professors. Several things: 1) Congress must determine if there are to be new offices, like DOGE - not the president; 2) Congress is "enfeebling" itself, and if they don't challenge the executive branch's conscription of Congressional power, then there is no way to stop it, unless it is unconstitutional; 3) there are processes that need to occur to indicate that the action taken by the executive branch has been researched and fairly applied; and 4) this stuff is going to be tied up in the courts forever. In the meantime, no more grants are being evaluated by NIH, which will shortly lead to a stoppage of research and clinical trials. When that happens, skilled people, including investigators, will be let go and it will take a long time to re-establish the projects. If the GOP congresscritters don't do anything, then all the Dems can do is go to court. It's painfully slow but I keep thinking that the people who supported Trump will figure it out one voter at a time. I just hope there are enough of them who see the light before it's too late. It's been a little encouraging to see the reception that GOP congresscritters have been getting as they go back home and have their town hall meetings. It's not going well. Yipppee!

I'd agree. We've just about got a society accepting homosexuality, equal rights etc. But sport ought to be drug free. Have another 3rd option where anything goes. Extra testosterone, cocaine whatever. See what records are broken! As long as they're naked and I get a front row seat for pole vault

He's a has been. He put his "movement" file of supporters after his first trainwreck in a shredder. This isn't intended as a metaphor. He's two faced. I wish he would go away. He can give his oligarchy speech until he's blue in the face but if he had the chance to be anything other than ineffectual his time is long gone.

Yes a little harder. But all states are already offering Real-ID for driver’s licenses , permits, and ID cards.

I thought Macroeconomics was the time-saving benefit of using a stored series of commands in excel to perform repetitive tasks. (source -I was a economics major about 50 years ago…)
