Can't say I blame you, @Steve-Miller. Another one for you to skip... Lengthy interview with Terry Moran of ABC. Transcript: https://abcnews.go.com/US/full-transcript-trumps-exclusive-100-days-broadcast-interview/story?id=121291672 I don't know what's worse, listening to him talk or reading what he said. Either way I keep thinking that he has severe cognitive deficits. Biden had a better grasp on reality than this guy does.

A Wisconsin judge charged with helping a man in her court briefly evade immigration authorities has added prominent conservative lawyer and leading U.S. Supreme Court advocate Paul Clement to her defense team. Hannah Dugan, a Milwaukee County circuit judge, was charged on Friday with obstructing a government proceeding and concealing an individual to prevent arrest. Sign up here. Clement did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Mastantuono Coffee & Thomas, a Wisconsin-based firm representing Dugan, confirmed Clement's addition to the legal team on Tuesday. Clement, a U.S. solicitor general during the Republican administration of George W. Bush who has argued more than 100 cases before the Supreme Court, has clashed with the Trump administration in other cases. He is representing WilmerHale in its lawsuit challenging an executive order President Donald Trump signed last month targeting the U.S. law firm's business with federal contractors and restricting its access to government officials and buildings. Clement also opposed the administration's bid to withdraw the federal corruption case against New York City Mayor Eric Adams with the potential to refile charges. A judge earlier this month dismissed the case permanently after Clement, acting as a court-appointed adviser, said it would otherwise hang over Adams like a "sword of Damocles." https://archive.is/rGqY6 The Wisconsin Supreme Court has suspended a judge accused of helping a man evade immigration authorities. The FBI took Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan into custody on Friday morning at the county courthouse. She faces federal charges of concealing an individual to prevent his discovery and arrest and obstructing or impeding a proceeding. In its two-page order, the state Supreme Court said it was acting on its own initiative and not responding to a request from anyone. Liberal justices control the court 4-3. "In the exercise of that constitutional authority and in order to uphold the public's confidence in the courts of this state during the pendency of the criminal proceedings against Judge Dugan, we conclude, in our own motion, that it is in the public interest that she be temporarily relieved of her official duties," the court ruled. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/wisconsin-judge-hannah-dugan-suspended-state-high-court-immigration-case-arrest/

Alcohol now limited to one , maybe, two nights a week when we go out to dinner. Martini with oysters on the half my favorite appetizer. And one of those little cartons of red wine if I’m cooking steak at home.

Interesting, Andy. My cousin said it will be August. I hope it will be the beginning of August. Hurricane season starts June 1 and the worst of it in mid-August. I have work I want to get done in preparation. I guess my brother hasn't come to terms with the fact there isn't a new will. It's become an awkward situation between us. I'm ignoring him. He can call or text anytime. I have a lot to think about now without using my energy on any drama I can avoid. My housemate is being difficult every day. He has health insurance. He should go to drug rehabilitation long enough to detox. He won't and as long he's drug addled, he won't be reasonable, cooperative, or pleasant. I'd like to buy him out but even if I can there's a long haul between then and now. Even if I can, he'll leave plenty of logistical problems he created or had a responsibility to prevent. Yes, greed is real. So is jealousy.

@AndyD said in The good news: has followed us from garage to shed to garage. Isn't it interesting the things we can't bring ourselves to part with, but also obviously have no current need of... Like my baptismal dress (from when I was 1 or 2 years old?) or my mother's wedding dress. I don't have a daughter to pass those on to, and I have nooooo idea what to do with them!

Saw a pair several times when living near Moab. Saw another north of Buena Vista twice. They are magnificent birds.

Get the Hamburg, get the Steinway name, have your cake and eat it too. I read (don't know if it's true) that museums started as house museums in the Netherlands. In a sense, also, what are all the stately and manorial houses in Europe if not museums? It's an extraordinarily beautiful house.
