My WWII-vet father saved "end of war" Stars and Stripes papers. We have this politically incorrect one framed ... https://thumbs.worthpoint.com/zoom/images1/1/0925/10/stars-stripes-extra-edition-japs-say_1_c9f6ccd4af2ca3e6484948771b50b6f5.jpg [image: 1767625968682-a4be070a-be7a-4c9d-a8c4-59950d632509-image.png] Inside is a full set of maps documenting the entire Pacific theater.

I can't remember the last time I purchased Marinara. When I make mine I like to add a bit of fennel seeds.

I usually get McCormick brand because that’s what I can find. I don’t think it’s way different from regular (Greek?) oregano but it’s different enough that I use the flavor to identify which restaurants are legit and which ones aren’t. Maybe try a heavier hand with it?

I've been using DuckDuckGo for several years and prefer it over Google Search. WaPo had this article about avoiding AI in Google and DDG. It includes your udm14 option plus some others. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/try-these-hidden-nope-buttons-to-stop-ai-content/ar-AA1J4YgS

Charles Ringling"s summer mansion in Sarasota has a pipe organ and a '20"s Steinway grand piano in it. It was the only preserved room in the house. It was and was always the music room. DeSantis could have turned into a roller rink by now for all I know. I can't watch this now because I'm at the clubhouse standing in the fog charging my phone.

@Steve-Miller Yup, though Blancpain and IWC are my dreams I've always fancied an outdoor climbing/trekking smart watch like the Suunto. Though the Monblanc is stylish

Second question first-- no, I'm not taking him with me period. If I might speak freely-- I hope he dies in his sleep tonight. I viscerally hate him and don't want to look at him or hear him speak for one more day out of the days I have to left on this earth. Second question-- no, I don't need the money. I'm going to ensure the park takes ownership of this place for non-payment of rent and RM walks away without a dime. Thank you for your kind wishes.

We had no trouble finding it up in Door County. Surrounded by water and tons of boats. I just checked a website that helps locate gas stations that have it and the closest one is 39 miles, up near the Chain of Lakes area.

Certainly worth monitoring. The two largest losses of life in Pennsylvania due to dam failures occurred over a century ago. Most people have probably heard of the Johnstown flood caused by the failure of the dam upstream from that city. David McCollough wrote an excellent book on that disaster. The next-biggest, upstream of Austin, PA was the result of a paper mill's dam failure and killed 78 people (more details here: https://w.wiki/HJBV). Remnants of that dam remain to this day in a park-like setting. Big Al

@RealPlayer Exactly. Except it’s best described as an eating framework. Nothing is strictly forbidden, nothing is absolutely required. Keyes wasn’t selling diet books.

I get a low dose of aspirin in my generic Excedrin. A super-healthy product, Excedrin. I kid. But you know what? Just like people say with caffeine or sugar, I'm addicted to it.

@AndyD said in 25 years into the century: Superb, the photos and article. If I can pick one photo that fascinates, the tsunami wave at Fukushima is an amazing snap. I was on a plane headed to Beijing when that happened, chaperoning a group of 20 high school students. When we landed we headed to the Olympic park straight from the airport. My first memory of being in China was a crowd of people huddled around the massive screens outside the Bird’s Nest and Water Cube, watching the news unfold. Our guide, who we met when he picked us up at the airport, was trying to navigate listening to the news story to figure out what was happening and translate it for 20 high school students without scaring them half to death. It was unnerving to be so cut off from the news with such a major event happening.

It's in the '50's at night with no heating. I can't wait for the '40's. / Snark Actually, I'm making moves to get out of this dump.
