Arrrrhh, arrrrrrh, arrrrrrh. In the case of this pirates' nest, yep! Just an additional comment on the term: our real estate agent introduced me to the word when she used it after telling us about the fire sale price of the interior accoutrements. "You can have it turnkey ..."

Made the bean soup tonight. Too bland, so I added more salt and pepper plus some liquid smoke. Tastes pretty good with an unfussy Bordeaux and sourdough toast.

Link to video An interesting video (at least for those who find the history of technology interesting) about how Ethernet transitioned from coax to unshielded twisted pair. Big Al

I was in the thick of the massive development effort that made sure no catastrophe happened. Billions of dollars spent, but it should have been addressed over the preceding two decades.

I love vegetables and have coffee and chocolate every day, so this is good news. (The chocolate is milk chocolate, but never mind that. It's got polyphenols in it, plus a smidge of calcium and protein from the milk. I'm sure my statin will deal with the milk fat.)

I’m one of those weirdos who loves performing but still gets the shakes! Back around 2005-2006, I was preparing for a recital where I played several pieces. A year or so before I had had a major crash and burn stage fright event, so in preparation for the recital, I read as many books as I could find about dealing with stage fright. The Inner Game was one of my favorites. The recital went well btw.

Ugh. "our way or no way" seems to be the mantra that's also spread to the current Republican party...
