What's up with that. My understanding is its a thing where young people stay in bed unless they can't help it and then they get in bed again.

I mean is this a real thing? Was it ever?

I don't want to go down the theoretical rabbit hole of how anyone could afford to live like this and how could they get food and water.

I could Google AI it or course but I'd rather ask you all what you think. 🤷

Doesn't sound like my idea of a life.

Maybe for 4 old people in a bed like in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Not even that. Not even Hugh Hefner's bed with all his Playmates.

Bed rotting is the practice of voluntarily spending many hours a day in bed while awake. The term gained popularity among Generation Z users on TikTok.[1] It has been discussed as a form of self-care, but has also been associated with depression and anxiety.

Isn’t there a famous Russian novel about a guy who stayed in bed? Oblomov?

Sounds like depression and nothing else.
