Maybe for 4 old people in a bed like in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Not even that. Not even Hugh Hefner's bed with all his Playmates.

Bed rotting is the practice of voluntarily spending many hours a day in bed while awake. The term gained popularity among Generation Z users on TikTok.[1] It has been discussed as a form of self-care, but has also been associated with depression and anxiety.

Isn’t there a famous Russian novel about a guy who stayed in bed? Oblomov?

Sounds like depression and nothing else.

I hurkle durkled today. Wrote a very long blog post about the rest of our river cruise. But I also got up in the middle to play the piano, which I hadn’t done since I got home.

I'm staying in bed today. I've been in bed all day. I did get up to take a shower. I haven't stepped outside the house. I'm planning a grand adventure later when I will get my Walmart order from the porch. It's been sitting there since noon. It's a spool of thread, of all things. I already have a set of needles. I don't sew. Another thing I don't do. But I want to mend a hole I cut in a new pair of sweatpants when I was cutting a long tag. It was about 3ninches. Who had that bright idea? Anyway, I know from the delivery photo my '50's porch table (space age design, round with a round plate of opaque glass in the center, wanted to keep it but no place for it to live), laden with things I wanted to get rid of but were too nice to throw in the dumpsters, with a "free" sign has gone, the lot of it. Good. Just in time. It rains tomorrow. I feel like I got hit by a train. Good Dr visit yesterday but sick all night and morning.

                        I’ve been chair rotting.

Mayla had surgery today (a pin removed from her ankle). I’ve been sitting in various chairs since we got here at 6:30am.
