I posted about my summer about 12 hrs ago. Lol.

I can safely say this has been and continues to be one of the best, most interesting, and satisfying summers in my life.

Honestly, the only summer I remember as being better was the summer after I graduated from high school.

I spent that summer at my parents' house. It was the first summer I didn't get a job since getting a work permit in
New York when I was 16.

I didn't stress about it because I was starting at UF in the fall.

I spent my most memorable time that summer hanging out with one of the friends I had since I was 3 and his cousin.

The 3 of us explored the woods and went camping.

      We were '70's kids. Lol.

      It was a sublime summer.

This summer at 58 I have reached the goal of at least a humble version of the "American dream."

It's by no means the only blessing I've had in my life but it ranks up near the top.

Got new curtains for the bay window. Finally got the herb garden in. Paid someone to redesign my website, which now looks great. Practicing for two recital programs. Still riding the bike at least twice a week (not enough.). Wrapping up a new CD/vinyl release for September. Hunting for a smaller piano.

Joe, Do you mind posting your website? I've wanted to hear your recordings and learn more about your career for a long time.

Went to Iowa, another first. Next week going to Erie, PA for a family gathering. All the garden spots.

Did some volunteer work with our library - thinking of exploring the culinary arts as I think both I and my spouse are becoming bored with my menus. I've been trying to procure an appointment with a cardiologist as my running has dramatically slowed and just had a friend pass from a cardiac event while running. My physician retired - and it's taken over a year to get a new pcp. I have an appointment in late September. I want to accelerate some of the deaccessioning of "stuff". No trips though we'll be on a mini-vacation next week where we visit some local things that we haven't done in a while.

@kluurs I'm sorry to hear about your concerns. Hopefully it's nothing to worry about, but you're smart to get it checked out.

That is the worst! Sadly, I can relate. When we first moved here, it took forever to establish care, and I finally found someone I liked, and had some things scheduled, and she left the practice. I got kicked out the system and had to re-establish care from zero. Fortunately, I was able to get some specialists for some things and that helped to keep my prescriptions current, but it took two years to get things back on track with a PCP. It was so frustrating.

@kluurs Sorry about your physician problem. I had one like it…had a pcp I really liked but he got convicted for steering patients to one lab. I don’t know if he avoided jail, but he gave up his practice. I am with the guy who took his place, but I don’t like him nearly as well.

Anyway, do get checked out, and hope all is OK
