Whine, whine, and whine about continued eye trouble.
The meds keep me inactive and maintain a bad attitude.
Went to Princeton to see Bob's ailing brother. While there I attended a folk harp festival and workshops. Think I learned the folk harp is not for me.

How about kanklės, a Baltic box zither instrument that's a popular folk instrument in Lithuania? I could pronounce you an honorary Lithuanian to make it official.

@wtg Thank you very much. Have managed to get my shoulders working well enough to play the fiddle. Plan to stick to that for the present while I wait for the piano tuner to show up. He has been hard to find.

Hot, cold, wet, dry, smoky, clear... Just finished Lollapalooza weekend in the neighborhood - lots of road and park closures for locals, but it seems like was a great event even with all the mud! Some filming in the neighborhood - I look at the amount of set up and people involved guessing it is all for a few seconds or minutes of screen time.

But yes, summer in the city is a great experience!

I posted about my summer about 12 hrs ago. Lol.

I can safely say this has been and continues to be one of the best, most interesting, and satisfying summers in my life.

Honestly, the only summer I remember as being better was the summer after I graduated from high school.

I spent that summer at my parents' house. It was the first summer I didn't get a job since getting a work permit in
New York when I was 16.

I didn't stress about it because I was starting at UF in the fall.

I spent my most memorable time that summer hanging out with one of the friends I had since I was 3 and his cousin.

The 3 of us explored the woods and went camping.

              We were '70's kids. Lol.

              It was a sublime summer.

This summer at 58 I have reached the goal of at least a humble version of the "American dream."

It's by no means the only blessing I've had in my life but it ranks up near the top.

@Daniel Were you class of 86?

I was and I’ll be 58 next month.

Got new curtains for the bay window. Finally got the herb garden in. Paid someone to redesign my website, which now looks great. Practicing for two recital programs. Still riding the bike at least twice a week (not enough.). Wrapping up a new CD/vinyl release for September. Hunting for a smaller piano.

Joe, Do you mind posting your website? I've wanted to hear your recordings and learn more about your career for a long time.
