Could be real stone, ribbed marble, but I'm guessing man made. In hot climates like the photo suggests you'd take off footwear at the door. Soles of your feet are non-slip. Cool marble is lovely. In-laws in Malaysia have marble floors throughout the ground floor, and even wearing socks isn't a slip problem (but you sweat & could get foot rot and quickly learn not to). Though dress shoes with new leather soles are a bit slippery on marble.

    I can’t believe he’s a candidate. It’s embarrassing and depressing.

That woman becomes a part of the piano. She sits and is simply fabulous, what touch. My old piano teacher was a bit like her, you'd never guess this kindly 80 year old had such talent. She'd sit and suddenly become a concert pianist. Suddenly I was reminded of Barenboim materclassing Lang Lang

Both are well known (about the residents, and about Texans traveling to NM). It's creating a problem for women in NM who are competing for limited physician time. A reasonable woman should ask any new (young) OB/GYN if they were trained in a state that prohibited them from learning standard of care. If the answer is in the least bit equivocal (well, I did some reading on my own blah blah), seek care from someone else.

That's a very good question! First step would be to keep Trump away from government.....

Thanks, @Axtremus ! I see that when I'm on my Windows laptop and the cursor hovers over any reaction emoticons that people have posted, it shows me who "reacted". Is there a way to do it on iOS? I see that there are reactions, but haven't figured out how to see who posted them... @ShiroKuro ? Bueller?

The best way to find something is to order another. The floor in Bob's house in Tucson is cold, hard, Saltilllo tiles. House slippers are necessary. Mine are missing. Ordered a new pair. Expect the old pair to show up soon.

That was a very nice explanation of what occurs over the seasons. I was concerned that the fall colors would be dampened by the near-drought conditions over part of the summer here, but the colors have still been fairly vibrant and the persistent warm weather seems to have allowed the leaves to hang on a little longer. @CHAS said in Happy Halloween!: Going to see jazz singer Samara Joy. I saw her here in Pittsburgh a few months ago. I'm pretty sure you enjoyed the show. We haven't had trick-or-treaters at our house for a number of years since the children who lived on our little road grew up. We're the last house on a dead end and pickings are slim so no children come around from other neighborhoods anymore. Big Al

There's a really nice place called Hey Nonny in "downtown" Arlington Heights that hosts some pretty good music. https://www.heynonny.com/ Our former neighbor is a member of a jazz octet that performed there a ways back. He plays bass sax, bass clarinet, and, you'll love this @Rontuner , bassoon! https://www.metropolitanjazzoctet.com/copy-of-our-team I think when they were at Hey Nonny it was with a singer named Dee Alexander. Anybody heard of Wyatt and Ash washable rugs? Saw them pop up on Costco’s website and they seemed like they were like Ruggables. Except I think they're quite a bit cheaper..at least on Costco. Turns out they are one piece, with a non-skid backing. Of course their online marketing material talks about how much better they are than two piece washable rugs... https://www.wyattandashhome.com/
