The Johnny Cash museum in Nashville is great; I learned a lot about him there.

Interesting. I guess it was an ancient and widespread practice.

I wish I had some! Italy is one of the top two places I'd like to go. The other is England and I have been there. I know it's not soon but I hope you'll tell us about it and post pictures!

Andy, stunning. Wow. Having lived on an idyllic, isolated island, I've found that the only practical downside is access to healthcare. There were plenty of situations where a person in HI would have to fly to Honolulu to see a specialist or have an operation. Although it you had that kind of money, I guess you'd be able to rent a private jet at the drop of a hat and it wouldn't be an issue.

@Rontuner said in CPB shutting down: Sen. Collins expressed similar concerns: “I share the frustration with the biased reporting by NPR, and I would support defunding it." I guess the only media allowed should be way to the right? NPR rates just a little left with a high factual rating... https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/npr/ Not allowed. Funded with taxpayer dollars. No one is talking about what media should be allowed.

@Daniel. My family history is probably loaded with things I do not want to know. There is a museum at Murray State in Kentucky known as the Wrather museum. Was told a professor named Wrather left the money for the museum. Have never found the time to go. Have been less than 40 miles away a number of times. I was told very little family history. hmmm....

@wtg said in Private health tracking system announced: a White House event dubbed “Making Health Technology Great Again.” Again? Was there some era of great health technology in the 50s or something?

Still bad air quality today (157 on the apple weather app) - entering day 2 of the 4 day Lollapalloza music fest downtown. Gridlock in our neighborhood again certain times of the day and night. At least it's cooler which should help the paramedics!

@CHAS - Did you get it through your insurer? We got ours through State Farm. Device was free and they pay for the monitoring for the first three years. https://www.statefarm.com/simple-insights/residence/help-protect-family-from-electrical-fires

@Big_Al said in RIP Tom Lehrer: it's disturbing how timeless some of the songs are I know, right? Just listen to the song "National Brotherhood Week": "Step up and take the hand of someone you can't stand You can tolerate 'em if you try."
