The wildflowers in the Columbia River Gorge are at least two weeks ahead of where they were last year. I went to the same place, and there was just a couple patches of bloomed out balsamroot left, unlike last year. Beautiful home, and a lot of house for the money. (Though I know nothing about the housing market in Henderson. You would pay 2-3x that for a similar house in MT). Can you swim in the pool in the winter? Does it stay that warm there?

As the crow flies, this place is about 3/4 of a mile from ours. It backs up to the Dale Ball trail system which is a 25+ mile trail system in the foothills (up to 9K') east of Santa Fe.

My friends in Pueblo got almost 2 feet of snow between yesterday and today.

Both are well known (about the residents, and about Texans traveling to NM). It's creating a problem for women in NM who are competing for limited physician time. A reasonable woman should ask any new (young) OB/GYN if they were trained in a state that prohibited them from learning standard of care. If the answer is in the least bit equivocal (well, I did some reading on my own blah blah), seek care from someone else.

Jon: yes in the cosmic sense I suppose. But that framing takes away agency from all the people who make conscious choices to violate the law and wreak social havoc.
