McDonald’s must face lawsuit over McRib, judge rules
Consumers allege the sandwich’s name and shape misleadingly suggest it contains rib meat.

@Bernard It's rib-shaped sandwich. Chopped meat, in this case pork parts, formed into something that vaguely looks like ribs. No bones. Covered with a third rate BBQ sauce. McD's says they don't use heart, tripe, or stomach but they don't say exactly what parts they do use.
I've never had one.
There's a group that loves them and that goes crazy when McD's periodically brings them back. I had one in the 1980s when they first came out, and never thereafter. You haven't missed a thing.

Anyone who really thought they were getting ribs is an idiot. All you have to do is look at the piece of meat. That shape of pork is not found anywhere in nature.
Even if you don't get that, anything that starts with"Mc" is not natural. that suit is a perfect candidate for dismissal under my patented Dumbass Doctrine.

So why did they name it "McRib"? R-i-b as in rib? False advertising. I never knew it wasn't rib because I'm not terribly interested in meat. I don't know where most cuts of meat come from. Like I said above, I've never been interested in having one and I thought it really was rib.

Every time I eat McDonald's I regret it.
I ordered a 1/4 lb. w/ cheese, a plain sundae, and a large vanilla shake.
My theory (more like a rationalisation) was that I could use the calories.
I gave my code, then opened the bag (dumb).
I found both "ice cream" products and a small beef patty with cheese on it.
Is this a hard job?
The meat smelled rotten. I threw it away.
The "ice cream" triggered my lactose intolerant.
It's sort of an allergic reaction (it might actually be one).
I spent 20 minutes blowing my nose and coughing up mucus.
I get hungry at night and I order it. Nothing else that's open has a $.49 delivery fee and arrived in 20 minutes.
Nothing else that's open isn't garbage too.
I keep telling myself to stop pointing myself and paying a lot of money for the privilege.
It's a behavioral pattern.
I need to quit doing it.

Yeah, I agree. It's a frivolous lawsuit.

Then there's this, in France. I bring you Croque McDo:

So here's the blurb on McD's website. Describes what it is, including ingredients.
The McRib starts with seasoned boneless pork dipped in a tangy BBQ sauce, topped with slivered onions and tangy pickles, all served on a toasted homestyle bun. When everything combines you have BBQ pork sandwich perfection. But its availability is limited—stay tuned at your local McDonald’s for when the McRib is available near you.
McRib Pork Patty
Ingredients: Pork, Water, Salt, Dextrose, Rosemary Extract.

Whether the designation "pork patty" includes pork rib meat or not, I still can't believe that someone would initiate a class action lawsuit over this.
