Yes, it’s a copycat thread, but why not? This watch belonged to my son, but he never wore it. I’d guess it’s 25 years old. I don’t understand all the functions. It’s too heavy and all that metal irritates my wrist, so I keep switching it from one hand to the other. But I’m too lazy to go watch shopping.

I seldom wear it. Usually only when I’m going into the city and need to time my transit connections. It’s easier than pulling out my phone to look at the time.

I wear an Apple Watch. I appreciate the health functions, as well as the workout functions and how it pairs with Fitness+. The battery is going on it, so I may need to replace it soon. That is definitely a drawback - they don’t have much longevity.

I have two watches. I never really wore one, but last year my better half bought me a nice Citizen Solar Powered watch for my Birthday. This past Apple product announcement I purchased my first Apple Watch and wear it more than the Citizen.

@Mark Cool. So, the solar powered watch never needs batteries or winding? I wish I had that feature.

The battery is charged via solar and is supposed to last 20 years. The battery is also replaceable.

I kept replacing my Casio FE-10 watches until they were no longer made. Perfect combination of thin with big enough display to wear while tuning/working. I purchased and returned quite a few others after the last one broke - searching for something that was comfortable enough and ended up with

I did get a magnetic wrap band for it to cut down on the buckle discomfort while working.

Casio, Arabic numerals, white dial, AND the least expensive and classic digital.

I always have these two watches.

The digital's alarm goes off at 11:56 p.m. for no particular reason. I just let it.

Hacking this watch is complicated and can take me up to 2 hrs with my poor vision.

It's worth owning. It's definitely worth wearing. I just don't care enough to go through what's needed to set it.

It's also on military time. I think the time is close to accurate. 🙄

'But as they said in one of the later Rocky movies, "Time...it's undefeated.".-- Mik

I wore watches, usually ones from the likes of Walmart, before I started carrying a mobile phone with me. I remember my parent bought me a watch from an old school watch shop when I was in secondary school. But I don't remember ever buying a watch from a proper watch/jewelry store myself. I do not remember any of the brand names; I don't think I have ever worn a watch that carried a well known brand name. I stopped wearing a watch not long after I started carrying a cellphone with me regularly, and have not looked back ever since. I was briefly tempted by the idea of an Apple Watch but ultimately thought it not worth the hassle of carrying "one more thing." 🤷
