I like this solid unpretentious old house. Four decent sized ground floor rooms. All bedrooms are doubles.
Big enough for us, and a self-sufficient attic carpetted to annoy guests 😁

Great fireplace, plus steam heat. The best. I think I'd like to restore the fireplace and get rid of the wood stove.

What an interesting facade. I counted four different window styles, and the portico is offset. Makes it look like there have been changes over the years. But I like it.

Nice house, what a location! But I would definitely have do decorate the place. And tear up the wall-to-wall carpeting. Love the stairwell.

        The industrial revolution cheapened everything.

Very nice and very well done.

I may be the only one left who likes carpet. Cant wait for it to come back in to style.

          Because it always does.

Yeah, we have come to the conclusion that carpet is the right thing for upstairs, and it badly needs it. What's there is 28 years old. It was excellent quality and lasted a long time, but we're ready to go. We looked at vinyl, but we have so much site finished hardwood downstairs that I just thought it would look kind of cheap. I'm not fond of the prefinished hardwood. Just doesn't look right to me.

Carpet definitely for bedrooms and sitting room comfort.
I reckon when they scrapped the window tax they added the large arch and double windows at the front. The rear is lovely.

It is in a convenient area for Newcastle International Airport, Metro Shopping Centre, A1 motorway.

              Everything but sea access.
