I joined Walmart+ again and ordered a mosquito net for $11.

I'm not spending four months being the resident mosquitoes' blood source.

1 leak is now 4 or 5. The tile is the width of the hallway and then squared. It's sagging. It's clearly holding water. The water drips out several times a minute. The water is an ugly brownish yellow. This is clearly due to the water picking up pollution.

Update. The ceiling tile developed a seam in the middle; then, a flood was released; then, the tile split in two pieces.

Finally, they fell out of the ceiling, flooding the hallway a second time, and, then the tile fell to the floor.

Concerns: flooding, pink insulation, tile might have asbestos, the daylight I can see from the hole in the ceiling.

I'm getting an estimate. People generally want to do whole roofs. They don't want to do small jobs like this one. My handyman developed perceptible dementia, sadly. I haven't given up on finding people.

But it might turn into a DIY project.

That's a serious roof leak if you see daylight through the hole. The entire roof might be structurally unsound. Not a DIY repair if it is!

Good luck with whatever course of repair you choose.

Add to that the possibility of mold from trapped moisture up there.

I'd be calling in a professional roofer to assess the situation. I agree with @Big_Al , this may not be a DIY situation.

                Good luck with the repair.

Yeah, i don't think you need a patch here. But you might need a temporary tarp if you could find one.

Temporary can be as long as you need it to be. My neighbors had a blue tarp on their roof for years. I think it lasted until they sold the house, and the new owners took care of it.

Florida is the home of blue tarp roofs. Just fly in after a major storm.
