@wtg Oh, interesting! I thought this was going to be a rails to trails conversion. I didn’t know that rolling on still-existing rails was a thing!
We have a rail to trail conversion state park, Banks-Vernonia Trail. I’m hoping to ride on it this year. What’s cool about these rail conversions is that they’re mostly flat-ish, which is how I like my bike rides.

We have some of the rail-to-trail conversions. I've ridden the Illinois Prairie Path in my younger youth:
North America's first rails-to-trails conversion. Founded 1963.
This one is kind of cool. Used to be an elevated train line. I haven't been on it; maybe @Rontuner has.

Looks too sedentary to me. Wonder if there is a version of "rail bike" that lets you power the vehicle using similar posture/motion as if you're exercising on an elliptical machine.
@Axtremus Have seen "bikes" on the Tucson bike trails that use a motion like an elliptical machine for propulsion. They passed me, which does not mean they are fast.
There are many miles of bike trails here. One trail goes over the pass to Vail. A company takes tourists to the top of the pass so they can zoom down. It is a nice climb.
The Katy trail in Missouri was started when I was a student. It draws people from around the world.
