Sadly I have nothing to offer but hopes for a good outcome.

How frightening. Nothing helpful from me either. I am so sorry!

Nothing to add here except how hard it is to see your kids(no matter how old) with medical challenges...

Unfortunately, I don't have any experience in this area.

Wishing your son all the best.

Thanks so much for the well wishes, all. Kiddo’s girlfriend has a very good friend who is epileptic, and one of his coworkers has a seizure disorder as well, so they at least have folks around them who know things. I’m hopeful the anti-seizure meds will work, and that there isn’t anything more horrible going on. I’m also very thankful for our medical system. While it hasn’t been perfect, so far the cost of this adventure has been $113 ($45x2 for ambulance, $23 for medication), so I’m grateful we don’t have to worry about the financial ramifications of a serious medical issue on top of everything else.

Always scary. A long while back, I was running with a young guy on a very warm day. Our group would run 4 miles before stopping at a park, let everyone catch up - and then run the last half of the run. In any event, the young man and I were the first people there having run pretty hard. He turned to me and collapsed in a seizure. At that time, I didn't carry a phone. It took a couple of minutes to find a person with a phone - called an ambulance and got him to the hospital, notified his grandmother with whom he was living. In speaking with him later, he had medication that controlled the seizures but stopped taking it because 1) he didn't want the expense and 2) he wasn't certain he needed the meds. Lesson learned that the meds were necessary - and while we offered help with expense, he said he'd be good.

                      This is so important!

I don’t know anything about seizures or their treatment, but I would imagine there many more options than in generations past, so that should be helpful as well. Best wishes that it is!!
