@CHAS thank you for posting this!!! I've seen this before, but it makes me to happy to be able to see it again!!

I remember the first time I saw it, I was mesmerized by her hands. They look so powerful, and so completely under her musical control. Like she could play anything.

@CHAS His hands are much bigger than Apple's (or mine for that matter!)

Also, it looks like he some flat(ish) technique peppered in there. My teacher and I have been talking about when to play with flat fingers (for example, when you want a fat melody note)....

OTOH, Apple's hands are standing up, and she really grabs the keyboard. I always found it amazing and compelling to see.

I miss her. Thanks for posting that.

I was fortunate enough to visit her shortly after that.

By the way what’s the name of that piece? I heard it the other day at the local organic market.

I saw that in the theater decades ago.

Did you like it or not? I'm curious. I've heard about it but haven't seen it

I very much liked it at the time. I don’t remember much about it now.

I miss Mary. She was very influential on my piano journey. Whenever I play the Aria from Bach's Goldberg Variations I think about her and how much she encouraged me to learn Bach.

                            Some memories.

Apple and justme were the two people who welcomed me to the old Coffee Room so many years ago. It's been quite a trip since then.
