    I had my second Shingrix last week. Easy peasy, and I had the usual chuckle over the buildup of apprehension over it (the idea always seems worse than the bite.).

    I got the vaccine around 1 pm and I was fine the rest the day. In fact, I was feeling smug about not having any side effects and sort of boasted about it on another site.

    Well. I woke up a few hours after I'd gone to bed with chills just about to the point of physically shaking, weakness, aches, nausea. I'd spoken too soon. It hit me hard and I was under the weather for 2.5 days, although only the first night was really bad.

    But it is done and I'm glad for it.

    The industrial revolution cheapened everything.

      Thanks for the reminder @Bernard !

      I have been meaning to get mine, but I'm not looking forward to being under the weather, so I keep putting it off. I really need to get it done with soon!

        I got my series and Hep A/B. My insurance plan won't cover pneumonia. I can. I'm wondering about Hep C. Is vaccination possible? I'm wondering about the stomach disease called Dix-x where x is don't recall. Is there a vaccination for it?

          I went in last week for something unrelated and my doctor let me know I was due for my tetanus so I got that. I was up to date on everything else. Then he went through all the things they will do next year (I’ll turn 50), including the Shingles and pneumonia vaccinations. Recently just got my first mammogram (apparently they lowered the age in Ontario to 40 but I didn’t realize it so I was long overdue) and then had to do a follow up ultrasound (nothing to worry about, thankfully, but now I’m on a once a year schedule for both). Isn’t aging fun?

          @Daniel. I don’t believe there is a Hep C vaccination, unfortunately.
