Fledgling birds and their mamas here. Watching a mom robin carefully monitor her fledgling. Also this morning we saw three sibling bluejays running and flying around together figuring out how to get to the feeders.

We went for a hike on the West Circle trail in the Hyde Memorial State Park a couple of miles north of our house in Santa Fe. Back at the ranger station, a group of Flycatchers were doing their thing. At first they were a bit stand-offish, but as they got used to me they came closer. That, plus a 300mm telephoto ... ๐Ÿ˜Š

British Goldfinch. They're always twittering overhead, today one landed on our aerial long enough for a snap

                    It gets terrestrial/freeview TV.
I ended our Sky satellite sub so we're using the old aerials plus free digital channels through the sky broadband.

This little guy has made a little hollow under my red twig dogwood. He likes snipping off the stems of plants and leaving them without eating them. So, you know, basically an a$$hole. Good thing he's cute.

We have lots of bunnies roaming through the neighborhood, and the back yard. Iโ€™ve named them all Mr. Bun. Doesnโ€™t matter if itโ€™s male or female; I canโ€™t tell. Hello Mr. Bun!
