Yes, much too large for us. And I'm thinking it would take several housekeepers and a bunch of gardeners to maintain to the high standard of the current owners. But fun to imagine living there!

Recordings inspire me to have a go at learning. I mean nothing (or very little) comes from nothing. And once partially learnt I'll find my favourite version for timing & musicality. I've done this for Tom Lehrer and Rachmaninoff and Art Tatum.

they say you can’t edit your photo , which is true, but you can edit the background of the photo. I found some online tool to edit the texture out of the wall behind me, but didn’t alter my face. Unfortunately.

Ax is right, there will be more of these. A lot of that will come from the fact that thorough testing has become rather a lost art. Things get tested, but in most cases not rigorously. Back when dinosaurs did the programming, we were dedicated to trying very hard to break whatever we coded. That doesn't happen very much anymore. You see a lot of this in online systems where if you color outside the lines at all you're screwed. It doesn't recover or catch it.

It is everywhere. Janet was in grocery wholesaling for 10 plus years. Not a good industry for nice people. The competition is fierce and the players venal.

He has a diminishing number of cultists. And his base in general has turned on him. They believed in his "America First" campaign. They are furious. Also he's virtually lost independents with an approval rating in the 20's.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2026/04/27/pentagon-fighter-jets-are-being-delivered-without-radar/ Short version: American F-35 fighter jets have to fly without the advanced radar designed for them. Instead, they fly with deadweights in place of the radar subsystems (presumably to maintain balance). Why? Because China messed with the supply of a specific rare metal, Gallium, that is required to build the advanced radar meant for the F-35s.
