Bills are thousands of pages. I don't think anyone actually reads them.

There was shop, which boys and girls could take that taught basic woodworking and metalworking. We even had drafting classes. In elementary school we were taught how to write cursive. Having experienced these classes growing up it makes me sad to think that some young people don't have the opportunity. I made Christmas stockings for my siblings and a neck tie (70s bright colors) for myself. It was fun and extended school learning beyond the boundaries of solitary studying.

It's been fun, but I'm concerned that this gives Trump another lever to consolidate his base. If the GOP splinters further because of this, it could be a big problem for them. Commence the strong-arm tactics!

I like the house other than its size. I'm not a fan of huge houses. The decor is definitely not my style. The surroundings are lovely.

Some cats have to be wrapped in towels during their vet visits too…to prevent injuries to humans.

Lol! Thanks! I think my "new life" will include a cat. I can't afford to take care of two humans and a cat. I also never thought it would be fair to bring a cat into this stressful, chaotic environment.

There was an NPR broadcast a few years ago about a cache of old cylinders of off-color humor that were supposed to have been destroyed under the Comstock Act, but somehow survived intact. I’d love to hear them but the culture was so different back then that they might vary from cringey to hard to comprehend.

I've only had goya champaru once, it was very yummy but it wasn't in Okinawa so I have no idea how authentic it was.
