I have been around enough Repubs, young and old, that talk like that, that this is no surprise. I am surprised that so many are surprised.
In Utah the Republicans, during Obama's presidency did not say, "The president', They said, "The n___________ president.
In my home town in Missouri I did not hear the n word as much as when I was a child, but when I did it was from the mouth of a state representative. I saw pro-nazi literature being passed around at the small town coffee shop.
I have always tried to stay in the local society instead of only being around people like me to avoid the distortions in perception that come that. -
