    From my friend:

Yesterday off the coast. Probably the last hurrah for the year. Striped bass, 36". 20 lbs

Good eating and lots of it. I enjoy fly and ocean fishing, haven’t done either for several years.

I asked her if he was dinner, but she said she let him go. She said that the big guys eat a lot of menhaden and get fishy tasting. She also said that poaching in the Chesapeake is a problem. The smaller stripers, which are much tastier, are getting netted and sold to restaurants. I guess they're pretty expensive.

My dad used to catch stripers in freshwater lakes around here and we ate them sauteed or smoked. They were quite delicious.

Have never fished in saltwater. I want to try it.
I have quit ordering Striped Bass. I think they are serving something else too often.

@wtg I grew up catching stripers in the Chesapeake Bay. Best tasting fish there is, IMO.
