The concert is on Tuesday.... On the one hand, I'm ready. On the other hand, I'm resigned to the reality that nerves will likely play a role and it's going to be a bumpy ride at some point. My goal is just to keep any mistakes as unobtrusive as possible.

I'm pretty sure I shared a practice recording of Sept Song, here are practice recordings of the other two. These are both practice recordings, so there are noticeable mistakes. I guess that makes the recordings a good likeness of how the concert will go. πŸ˜‘ At least I'm scheduled to play first. πŸ˜…

Moments by Alexis Ffrench (I will play this piece first)

Then I'll play Sept Song (also by Ffrench), and then Reminiscence, but Takashi Kako:

Please listen if you have time! πŸ™‚

That's the kind of piano music I like to hear in the car... Nicely done!

Your concert appearance should be fine. Those practice recordings prove that you're ready for the event. I particularly liked Reminiscence.

          A couple of asides:
I enjoyed the camera position because I like watching the hammers move as the music is played. I attended a solo piano concert last Sunday to dedicate a new Steinway and they had a camera set where we could see most of the keyboard and also the hammers projected on a large screen during the performance. It added an extra bit on enjoyment.

I also like how you've handled the drapes on the window in that room. It makes a very nice background for the video.

Nice playing ShiroKuro. As a casual listener who isn't familiar with those pieces, I didn't notice the mistakes.

Important to remember that the listener has a different expectation from the performer. (I'm still working on that one!)

β€œThe amateur believes he must first overcome his fear; then he can do his work. The professional knows that fear can never be overcome. He knows there is no such thing as a fearless warrior or a dread-free artist.”
