I've done #5. It's in Santa Fe. Did it last year when eldest and his fiancee (now wife) and her two kids were in town. 'Twas fun.
Might do this one this year when we're in Vegas with the fam.

We’ve done the Cuyahoga Valley one twice now. The way they do it is kind of corny but Jack loves it.
I think you’ll enjoy watching Polar Express. It’s very well done and reading the book to the kids at Chrustmastime is one of my favorite memories.

Watch Polar Express. Then get the Lionel Polar Express train set and put it around your tree.
We put a different model around our tree. Thought I might prefer a non-Christmas themed train the rest of the year.Have ridden the Georgetown train. There is a looping part of the track built to enable the train to gain/lose several vertical feet in the small space between mountains.

I've ridden the CTA holiday trains a few times and seen them and the busses many times more!

I love taking the train in Japan, but I haven’t really done it in the US.
But there’s something that’s just fun about it, especially the interior is nice or interesting, you have something to eat (a nice bento in Japan), the world is rolling by outside…

Not a holiday theme, but around this time of year the NYC Transit Museum brings out some of the old train cars and runs them on a short route from a subway station in the lower east side of Manhattan.
