Donald Trump’s threat to execute Liz Cheney, “with a rifle standing there with nine barrels shooting at her”, is the apogee so far of his Hitlerian rhetoric. By his own words, Trump has proved her point that he is a “danger” to the constitution and defied his apologists who insist he can be contained or that he doesn’t really mean what he says. “And let’s see how she feels about it, you know, when the guns are trained on her face,” he said. “Shoot Liz Cheney” has replaced “Hang Mike Pence.”
Time and again, day after day, event after event, Trump insists on posing as the salient question of the election, certainly about the candidate himself: are you crazier today than you were four years ago?
Now, former staffers speculate about the hazy fine line between Trump’s infantilism and his dementia. There is no responsible person left around Trump. ...

Trump has given half the country greater anxiety for the past 4 years, and that’s without even being in office. He just never goes away.

A distinction without a difference. Anticipatory obedience?
Snopes used to be better than this.

I think the media coverage of Trump by the corporate media particularly MSNBC and CNN had been unhinged.
I don't react well to it.
I've never liked being told what to think.
I remember thinking independently when I was 3 years old. I didn't always share what I thought after being told something I knew wasn't true or witnessing an an adult say something predjudiced, but I clearly remember dismissing what I was told if I knew it wasn't true or making a mental note of it in the case of prejudice.
MSNBC is not "reporting" news.
On the contrary, it's propounding narratives the content of which is blatantly false and the tone of which is clearly meant to evoke fear.
CNN is less dramatic but the clear bias is painful to watch.

I loved that movie (Becket).
Will no one rid us of this troublesome psychopath?
If I'm crazier now than four years ago it's because Trump is actually in the running to win another presidential election. The crazies in this country are going to make me lose my mind.
Even if he loses, we can't unsee the reality we've been forced to look at--half our countrymen are either idiots or utterly craven.

The world is holding its breath.
The UK from what I hear and read seems amazed at the republicans having such a candidate again. Not least after the storming of the Capitol Building.
Not that we wouldn't give a convicted felon a second chance or vote in a self-seeking irritant. But Trump, his not very subtle acceptance of violent opposition, his clearly advancing rambling & distracted dementia, his laughable 79 year old alphamale assuredness, ought to be replaced.
There are signs in every speech and interview.I particularly liked Trump's comments on his humility
"I think I am actually humble. I think I am much more humble than you would understand "Errrr, I think anyone with half a brain cell understands you pretty well Mr T.
