@ShiroKuro A somewhat irreverent singing "comedian". Not my cup of tea. His schtick gets old rather quickly.

    The industrial revolution cheapened everything.

I like to think of him as the 20th centuryโ€™s precursor to Tim Minchin.

Love the mellow sound of the brass!

Very little information about the band is to be found.
It seems to be the only recording available by the original City of London Brass. The band was made up of students from the London Music Colleges and other London educational institutions, so had youthful, talented, semi-pro players.
Formed in 1971 and lasted maybe only 4 years.
Guessing it depended on their conductor, Geoffrey Brand who died recently at the age of 97, and was an influential and inspirational band/trumpet man over decades.

Friday night, eyes shut after driving to London today, I could be in a Harlam club listening...

Such good jazz musicians, individually & as a band, playing a Nat King Cole favourite.

                  Jackson Browne anyone?
That man could hold a tune, wish I could've seen him live.

We saw Jackson Brown at an Indian casino a few years ago. Hair was gray but he sounded great!

He had just released a new song called The Dreamer and performed it live. Certainly some of his best work.

I just discovered this group last night. They've been around since 2008! Techno swing...

There's a great mike handoff about 3/4 way through.
