What's your Uber rating?

I looked at the app and noticed that mine is 4.9.
It's always been 5.0.
So I wondered what I did to deserve the diminution of my reputation by the collective number of drivers assigned to me.
I know what it was, especially since it happened recently.
It was a driver who got hostile because he said I should have told him our private back gate is locked.
It's private property, even the streets, even though it has bog standard municipal infrastructure.
USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc. have no problem understanding it.
Uber drivers, taxi drivers, contract drivers for deliveries-
won't- will. not..They feel they did their job if they go to where their GPS told them to go, using the route their GPS told them to use.
So this Uber driver (who had been as friendly as could be) became hostile when he drove to the back gate and it was locked.
He lectured me that it was my responsibility to tell him all of this in advance. It was his responsibility to know it in the first place.
I always give 5 stars (or in this case skipped it).
I did give 1 star to an Uber driver who couldn't find the destination, wanted to drop me off at a random location (I refused to get out of the car), told me directions were my responsibility, spotted the drop off at the last minute, and then starting cursing at me.
My policy though is if a person's doing a job and especially something like Uber that barely pays, I will support them with the algorithm.

I haven’t used Uber but the bus drivers have been rather cordial.

Bus drivers here are great.
The transit system not so much.
But it is $5 a day.
Assuming your body doesn't collapse due to old bones or exhaustion when hiking it from Address: 123 Any St. to your next connection (the distance can be impossible and they have a limited contract with Uber to connect certain stops to certain hubs), and don't miss your stop and end up crossing the county line, wondering where you are and how (and if) you can get home safely, using the system in reverse, it's all good.
I love my car (a post on that and pictures of my new home this autumn) but driving is not the same as back when by a very wide margin.
I'm older, slower, blinder, 15 yrs without driving, and the traffic is almost unbelievably fast. Not aggressive. Just drivers driving incredible speeds (illegally of course).
There's also changes to the roadway system that can be seen from space from the last time I lived here, and constant construction.
My father told me a car is to get from point A to point B.
I have to factor in for myself at my age and at this time what you always have to factor in with driving.
You don't get from point A to Point B if you are seriously injured or killed, or worse, if you seriously injure or kill someone else in an accident.
I really don't want to to be the proximate cause of this kind of tragedy. Of course never did never would. And I have to believe the psychological and spiritual trauma would be overwhelming.
I've been told by my NY relatives why didn't I "just take the bus". 3
All of them live in the country.
Well, technically, one lives in a small city.
All of them only have the option of driving.
One doesn't lock the doors.
One also grew up in a house where the house keys were gone and not missed again.
One is veteran and has a guard dog and a pistol.
Now I have veered (sic) down yet another rabbit hole.
