Ruggable?

And I'd forgotten about Ruggable...cool concept and their selection looks nice.
-
Oh! How cool to see the before and after!!
Re rug pads, yep, you should be fine then.
-
Your kitchen looks great, and I love the way that rug picks up the gray/blue.
-
Looks terrific!

I don't like buying things like rugs over the internet because it's difficult to be sure what the colors really look like. I almost made that mistake a number of years ago when purchasing a carpet for our dining room. I had picked out something that I thought would be good. Fortunately, the dealer also had a retail store in Virginia that was on our route from a trip. We stopped and looked at the actual carpet there and it would not have worked. The colors differed noticeably from the on-line image. We ended up buying a carpet in the same design but a slightly different color palette from the store and had it shipped to our house. It matched as I had hoped and has been very satisfactory.
One question about what you are looking at: Is it a fiber that doesn't mind occasional water in the kitchen?

Me too! Not just colors, but material, feel, thickness... this holds for towels, clothing, furniture, shoes.... Big retailers like Amazon usually offer free returns, but other places don't, and of course sometimes you can't tell how something will be until you open it up, maybe put it together.... So I try to buy in store as much as possible, because I figure if I want to be able to purchase in store for things that need to be seen in person, I need to purchase in store in general, or else those stores aren't going to be there any more.
But it's getting harder and harder to buy in-store. The town we live in now doesn't have a Penneys or a Macys, there's no Ashley Furniture store. There is a Lowes and a Menards, but no Home Depot... And I really don't like driving on the big highways you have to go on to get to these stores....

@Big_Al, yeah. It has different colors on a pc and an iPhone, so I’m concerned too.

What is their return policy?
-
No idea. Haven’t looked yet as we’re not ready to pull the trigger.
-
I did. You can return within 30 days, pay return shipping, and there's a $25 processing fee.

And you can get one free exchange per product.

What they really need is a swatch or something so you can see the colors in person.
-
@ShiroKuro Yes, but what if they vary from dye lot to dye lot? Like yarn…
-
I don't see how they could do a swatch for a multicolor rug, but it sure would be nice. I've returned several rugs over the years, but I think I have a good enough eye for colors and shapes now.

Costco has a few styles available.

Anybody heard of Wyatt and Ash washable rugs? Saw them pop up on Costco’s website and they seemed like they were like Ruggables. Except I think they're quite a bit cheaper..at least on Costco.
Turns out they are one piece, with a non-skid backing. Of course their online marketing material talks about how much better they are than two piece washable rugs...
