It’s a new app that saves recipes you find on the internet to your phone and allows you to organize them any way you want. What’s crazy is it will convert video recipes (YouTube, Instagram, etc.) in to written recipes that you can then store. Seems to work with any YT video and at least some IG ones. Haven’t tried a TikTok recipe.

Way better than sending myself texts or favoriting a page. Free trial then $50/year. If the subscription expires you don’t lose your recipes, you just can’t add new ones.

I never sign up for paid apps but I really like this one! I justify the cost by comparing it to the cost of buying two cookbooks a year.

I have SO MANY recipes favorited or saved, but except for a few I seldom go back and revisit. . Not sure I'd really get the benefit.

I use AnyList for recipe management. I have been on the lookout for a good recipe app for literally decades and this ticks all the boxes for me. If you copy and paste ingredients as a block of text it separates them into individual things. There is a share function from blogs and recipe sites where it formats the recipe by just sending it to the app. (NYT Cooking plays SO well with it!). It allows you to sort and categorize and the search function is great. We use it to meal plan (and it tells us when we last cooked something - you can even have it suggest ideas based on how long it’s been). Once it’s in our meal plan I just click add to shopping list and it brings up all the ingredients for the week. I tick off the ones I need. If there are duplicates (one lemon in this recipe and two in that one) it will consolidate them to one list item. We have been using it for several years and they continue to add new features. There is a slimmed down free version but we pay the $15 (CAD) subscription to have all the features. Highly recommend!

I use Paprika 3 app, and I love it. Saves recipes from the web, without all the bloat. Organizable, searchable. It will scale recipes for you, too.

And it stays on while I’m using it (unlike the web page, which makes my iPad go to sleep). I think it cost under $5, one time payment.

@Mik For me, a big advantage to a recipe app is that I don’t have to wait forever for a web page to load. Some pages are so full of ads and bloat that my iPad can’t deal with them. The app saves just the important parts!

Mines called Paprika and it was either free or had a one time cost. I’ve had it for years. It converts web based recipes perfectly and downloads a photo.

I had a bunch of bookmarked recipes but I’ve since downloaded them into this app.
