Who’s decorating for the holidays?

I put up our tree shortly after Remembrance Day here - we have a half day off for lieu time for parent teacher conferences on the third Friday of November, so I generally spend that afternoon getting the tree up and decorated. We don’t do much more than that, but I really enjoy the extra light at this time of year!

Here are some photos of our decorations this year. When my mother moved this summer, she gave me a bunch of ornaments, so I added close to 100 more ornaments across two trees this year

And yes, for the record, the set up, and the photos, are almost exactly the same as last year.

No ornaments, but seeing the lighted tree in the screen room as I work in the kitchen is nice.
Tree with a fraction of ornaments that I have. In the living room.
Favorite ornaments:
Mom's favorite candle. Snowman in the background was a gift from my best friend's mom.
Christmas mice:
The caroler and pine cone candles pre-date me.
Mr wtg's grandma used to do ceramics:
Lots of sweet memories of Christmases past....

We have some of those as well (I have two and my mother has one). I think two were made by relatives (and one I think I bought a few years back). There are various iterations of these of course, but Mr WTG's Grandmother's is the perfect kind, to my eye.

But one of our neighbors goes a little crazy every year ...

I’m loving these slender trees! So much less intrusive than the big bushy round ones. We don’t have a lot of room for a tree, and I stopped putting one up when the kids moved out.
Here’s my tree this year, same as before but slightly different ornaments. Forgot my sock monkey!
