A grey victorian behemoth. I really like the rooms and space, very spacious.
They've spent a lot of time and money on it, but I'd have to redecorate.

Very nice Victorian. I like nearly all of their choices.

She needs work, though, and some of that work will mean damaging those nice finishes. Wiring appears to be from the 1930’s and will require update. It was re-piped at some point - probably the 1980’s or so - and that’s good but it doesn’t have A/C. Windows appear to be original and will be expensive to replace. No word on the roof.

The apartment is a great feature! You could live in it while the work was being done then rent it out to cover some of the cost.

If lI was some 30 years younger and had reason to live in Helena I’d certainly consider it.

Wow. That is some house. Beautifully restored and decorated. Price has been reduced twice for a total of $50k. Why isn’t it selling?

The location. It's not in the mansion district but in a commercial area near a very busy intersection. If it were just a few blocks SE and on the other side of a major thoroughfare, it would sell for well over a million.

I personally wouldn't change a thing about the decor. I love all the small details and their taste overall.

I do agree with Bernard though about the "colors" or lack thereof. I'm not a fan of gray. But the stencils over it make it work for me.

More space than I want to heat and care for in Montana.

I want my mansion on 15 acres and anything not over 5,000 is something I can't imagine not thinking was blissful.

But, if I had to buy a mansion on a street with mansions, I would want to be on the same street.

Road construction can really mess up residential neighborhoods of any size. I've seen it more times than I can count. The government can put a street through your kitchen and there's nothing you can do about it.

This was a large factor in tearing cities apart back in the day (e.g. Detroit) but I've seen it in rural areas too in the last thirty years in places where few would have imagined it, accepting the people planning the development and playing the long game.

This house has many features I like but even if I liked its location, I'd have to win the lottery to buy it.

The market is here is way down. The completely restored one bedroom home that I showed y'all is $29,000 asking.

I found it. The GPS was completely off. It's on a street one over from the street that's the main entrance. It's got almost no traffic and the mobile home itself has such a peaceful energy to it in person.

There's nothing built on one of the lots to the side of it. It's immaculate and private. It even has luxury features in the kitchen and a luxury bathroom.

I don't know of any other one bedroom in my park.

It's been on the market for about 160 days. I think the fact that it's a one bedroom is why it hasn't sold yet.

I visit the ad often just to know if it's still on the market.

I shouldn't get my hopes up (yeah, too late) because it probably will be sold by the time I might be in a position to buy it.

I don't want to jinx it but it would be a perfect "dowager house" for the mother of a family. I think that's why it might sell in the foreseeable future.

Anyway, I have six years of experience with mobile home living including lots of restoration work and this would be my dream home. It needs nothing.

It's not grand. I have nothing against grand, elegant, and refined homes and gardens (being an Anglophile-- Lol) but this place meets the main criterion I have for any "dream home"-- minimalism.

I've said this before but I would move to Colorado if I won the lottery.

The only problem with that dream is, at least so far, I've had no desire to spend money buying lottery tickets.

My ultimate dream house would be a Georgian house in the UK. That's something I know is impossible but I enjoy looking.

I enjoy all of these real estate threads.
