Steve, I've been a bachelor this past week too. Janet went on a free junket to Vegas with a gambling friend and got to see Kelly Clarkson and spend her birthday with our daughter. Just been me and the cats, but great for the diet. I've been able to make fish every night!

I've gotten the cortisone shots twice over the past ten years. They work like a charm. I haven't had any knee pain for several years, but if my foot is planted and my torso twists, causing the upper leg to rotate a bit I can feel that things are moving around in the knee - not crunchy exactly, but loose. I'm going to see my ortho and find out what I might do to prevent it from getting worse or if it's nothing to worry about.

Ditto on the diet thing. I leaned way heavily in to Mediterranean last week and I really like it. Lost weight. Watched the vids, made the fish stew, ate the veg. Even made Indian food, which I would have to do outdoors if Sharon was here. She can’t stand the smell.

If I can buck the family traditions and stick with it I may get my own parking spot at the farm stand!

Yeah, Janet does not like curry in any form, so a lot of things I love to eat I can't fix. She will grudgingly eat fish because it's healthy, but she doesn't love it like I do. I prefer it to meat.

I find it hard to really enjoy food these days if I know it's not good for me. One thing I'm going to make this week is a Sopa de Ajo. Recipe looked good, and healthy.

Apparently it’s rare for cortisone shots to be effective for that long and you don’t want to get them very often. The ortho said he was very surprised.

Yes, this part I have heard. So far I’ve only had one, in one knee.

Wow, I wish I could say the same! 😅

              Did you do your wash?

I just finished mine and I feel quite virtuous!

                That looks great! 👍

My grill has a side burner and I cook things outdoors when I don’t want to make a mess of the stove (searing meat) or cook something with a strong smell (fish, curry). It works out well and I like cooking outdoors anyway.

Nope. haven't run out yet. 🙂

But I've minded her anthuriums (we have 5 in pots, taken care of the hummingbird feeders (three), and kept the cat boxes (three) clean.

Cheers, Steve! I hope you enjoy your alone time and your upcoming trip. I'm glad to hear your knee treatment is working. My left knee and right hip are going bad but I swim in the pool and soon I'll have my 3 wheel/ no pressure points bike for productivity and exercise. I manage the pain mainly by swimming every few days. I'll have to think about what to do one day but not today.

I called the roofing company this afternoon. I put down the deposit on June 27. The contract says they are 8- 10 weeks out from starting jobs. I politely asked if my job could be expidited and the owner agreed to do it on July 25!
