I guess that's how one quashes protest. Assassinate a Democrat and people go home ...

Yes, I get it, but sometimes you take a risk. These rallies will have police "protection." That's a euphemism, natch.

Well, Tim Walz "encouraged" people to stay home, and the organizers cancelled. I would have preferred a different approach, but I don't live there.

I can only hope they capture the perpetrator very quickly and identify any accomplices he may have had. I can't imagine that a list of over 70 names and addresses would be very easy for a lone actor to compile.

I still have fond memories of the time I spent working in Minnesota over 50 years ago.

A very practical decision, as I would expect from Walz.

At our No Kings rally in Helena, organizers barred protesters from standing on the capitol steps, behind the speaker's dias, because, they said, speakers were feeling vulnerable. Understandable, under the circumstances.

I've seen a few pictures of No Kings protest in St. Paul, Minnesota and it looked big.

I had heard that the organizers cancelled the protests in MN. But the people came anyway.

This is Mike Lee, Republican Senator from Utah. The GOP is full of very twisted and sick people.

I don't understand why the charges are for second degree murder. Anyone? I mean, having a hit list--how much more do you need for first degree murder charges?

Minnesota law. Only the grand jury can bring charges of first degree murder. Might take a few days.

With any luck he鈥檒l be tried on state charges so he doesn鈥檛 get pardoned.

I think there may be more to this story than has come to light thus far.

Maybe not, but he seems to have spent a lot more money than you鈥檇 expect him to have as a clerk at 7-11 with a night job at a funeral home. Lots of travel, cars, guns, etc.

He also killed the Horton's Golden Retriever,

Maybe this will trigger some sorrow from our GOP friends....

                              Well, not from Noem.
