WASHINGTON, DC - Congressman Andy Ogles introduced a House Joint Resolution to amend the Constitution of the United States to allow a President to be elected for up to but no more than three terms. The language of the proposed amendment reads as follows:
‘‘No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than three times, nor be elected to any additional term after being elected to two consecutive terms, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice.’’

I think one question congress should be asking is "why this now?" This is a waste of time, money and resources.
To say nothing of the fact that we have the two-term limit for a reason. This country is not a monarchy.

You'd need a whole lot of states to agree to this.

Agreed, @RealPlayer . And it would take a long time for all the states to vote on it. I think probably more than four years...
There are other possible ways for him to accomplish a third term, though.

Given the attempted coup already underway, I think it is foolish to dismiss almost any possible course of action by Trump, the Republicans, and their minions.
