WTF turns 20 this year

I wonder if the young generations look at our posts and write it off as geezer babbling. Most of us were in our 30s and 40s when started on PW.
You guys talked about this back then.
I actually found this a couple of days ago when looking up something else.

well, That hit me pretty hard in the feels. You’ll see conversations in that thread between me and ragtimeBG. That’s my big brother who introduced me to this crowd and he’s been dead for 16 years now. And I also loved exchanging nonsense with MarkB and of course you all know his story.

@DougG - I didn't know about ragtime BG. And reading markb's posts were bittersweet; they at once made me laugh and made me sad to realize there won't be any more of them.
This is happening to me more and more, and it's one of the hardest parts of getting older. My mom's best friend, who was almost like a second mom to me, died in November two weeks short of her 101st birthday. I basically don't have any relatives so she was my last link to the days of my (younger) youth. It's been hard to process.
But look on the bright side...you and I still have each other....

yeah, it’s weird. I had an aunt pass away last year who I believe was the last of my relatives who was older than me. I Guess this is the price I pay for having been spoiled as the baby of the family earlier in life.
so I will be happy to be your surrogate older relative for the next few decades WTG!

Happy anniversary to us'n's!
