Mid Century Modern Done Well

Built in 1965. One of the best examples I’ve seen!

I think we have a bidding war going...
@Steve-Miller - I see it's pending. Did you buy it???

Yikes, that's gorgeous, but the upkeep, the tree growing in the deck, the river.... too many elements that would make me nervous.
Some of you might remember that at our last house, someone had decided it was a good idea to build the deck around a tree rather than removing the tree. Well, that tree continued to grow, compromising the deck, and the roots could be seen in the crawl space. We had the tree removed and the deck repair, and it brightened up the room there as well....
/threaddriftAnyway, that is a gorgeous, gorgeous house.
But good grief, why did they do that kitchen cabinets in that awful gray. Belch.

fabulous bones, but the colors are just awful. brown/white/gray. hard to find a more boring, less attractive combo. and they didn't even brighten things up with art, rugs, pillows, furniture.
I really hope the current trend with gray goes away SOON. so cold and uncozy.
I would totally love living in a house that is a bridge over water. I do wonder what the mosquito situation is like in summer.

Love the open plan design and space. Not sure where you put the piano so as not to disturb your partner/family.
I'm going to enter this house competition I like it that much:

After what went down in North Carolina recently, I'm not too sure I'd want to be that close to water.
I would think a lot of people would react that way. So I was surprised to see that it's pending.

@ShiroKuro
Omaze was banned in the USA.
Now over here, they give a small percentage of their takings to charity (the bulk goes to the company).
So it's all good.
And it is possible to enter the competition free by post (85p stamp). So its all good.Would a bedroom suit, or convert the gym to a music room?
