Wow. That's tragic. It doesn't absolve him in any way, but assuming what he said is true, it sort of answers some of the why.

Good, let them all be prosecuted to the fullest extent of French law. (Which I know nothing about, but I hope incurs punishments in keeping with the severity of their crimes)

His ex-wife is very courageous to allow herself to be exposed publicly like this. It's really quite noble. I am sure I couldn't do it.

An associate of Frenchman Dominique Pelicot, who for a nearly a decade drugged his wife and invited dozens of men to rape her, admitted to copycat abuse of his own partner on Wednesday, blaming his mentor and a troubled childhood.
Police have said Jean-Pierre Marechal, 63, worked with Pelicot to drug and both rape Marechal's wife Cilia after meeting on a now-shuttered website.
And of course there is the arrest of Combs.....
