It’s not a podium, it’s a lectern. Podium is the raised platform (pod=feet). The lectern is the thing you put your notes on where the microphone (often) is.
It seems to me a high proportion of women in Lisbon have toned beautiful legs. I suspect that’s attributable to the very hilly topology of the town — it’s like doing the steps machine every time you walk around town.
