Smoky skies

So we exited the ghastly heat and humidity that has plagued us for more than a week. Temps dropped, as did dew points. Lovely breeze from the east. And smoke from the Canadian fires. For a while today, Chicago had the worst air quality in the world. It would be so nice to open the windows tonight but the air quality is so bad it really isn't healthy.
Heading your way, @Steve-Miller. I just checked the air quality maps and you guys are in the yellow zone; we're still in the red. Not sure if it's going to go more east, or if it will also spread south and get @Mik .
Put your zip code in the box in the upper right. You'll see a colored button pop up to the right of that. Click on it and you'll see your AQI. There are a bunch of tabs at the top of the page. One of them is Maps. The interactive map gives you the bad news visually.

Might be going around us. Today and tomorrow is predicted to be “moderate”.
Thanks!

Still bad air quality today (157 on the apple weather app) - entering day 2 of the 4 day Lollapalloza music fest downtown. Gridlock in our neighborhood again certain times of the day and night. At least it's cooler which should help the paramedics!
