Unless you have a better word for it. We know funding for services doesn't exist.

Reminiscent of moves to dismantle Hoovervilles during the Great Depression. I wonder if the army will be deployed against any encampments like it was under the command of Gen. Douglas MacAuthur against the Bonus Army encampment in Anacostia, D.C.

The plan is to increase treatment options for those who need it. This is the first time I’ve seen a significant effort from the federal government to address the issue. The alternative is to let these people continue to live in squalor.

Color me skeptical. Given how we've seen the deportation strategy play out, I am very doubtful that the administration is interested in insuring that the homeless that are removed are well taken care of. They just want "the annoyance" gone.

edit: Here's the text of the executive order.

Which group of people was swept off the streets and "helped" in detention going back to the Obama era in recent memory? No group of people. Not one. As for this time, again, the services do not exist.
