Hope there will be a midterm election.

Scary Medicaid cuts won’t do it. The party continues down the same path that gave Trump a way back.

They absolutely have to work on their messaging. Why is it most people think working age adults on medicaid are unemployed--including half of Democrats!? WTF? Why is it most people think that immigrants not here legally can get medicaid!?

For some reason, the party has been incapable of reaching through to people. Part of the problem is that republicans are so very good at lying and the Fox megaphone is at their disposal. But Democrats need to figure out how to combat that, if it's even possible. Sometimes I have my doubts. It seems to be in the nature of reason and intelligence to be viewed as elitist by the perpetually, if not permanently, aggrieved. Democrats need to find a way to surmount this obstacle. If it's even possible.

Now is definitely the time for the party to become very visible and very vocal, hitting hard every time a new bad news story comes out--and there will be a lot of them.

            The industrial revolution cheapened everything.

The fact it involves Medicaid, Medicare, and the ACA (even in the case of Medicaid) means the middle class will be affected by it.

It sure would be nice if folks would wake up even if it is too late and the healthcare system has already been gutted. I guess people are distracted, or on vacation, or something.

Trump can also avoid or delay "scary Medicaid cuts" for select demographics via executive orders or other administrative means. It's too simplistic to think that just because the new legislation says to cut Medicaid, that Medicaid will indeed be uniformly cut as legislated.

If it isn't cut, the deficit will balloon.

Yes, ballooning deficit's impacts can be (1) spread across the populace and (2) delayed such that the they are not felt by select demographics until after the mid-term election.
