The Snowbirds Speaking of migrations (off topic) the Canadians and Americans here in the 401 unit mobile home park where I live and where about 1/3 of the residents are Canadian citizens who live here only in the winter are not getting along with the Americans. Strangely or not, they never have been friendly with each other. The old timers say the Canadians think of themselves as superior because they are on vacation when they are in residence and the Americans live here full time and generally don't have much use for the vacationers. This is a red area in a red state. I've met some people who follow Trump even though they actually don't know much at all or anything about Trump's trade wars. There are two flag polls at the main entrance. One USA and one Canada. They lowered the Canadian flag to below the USA flag that's at the top of its flagpole. I have to say growing up in a military family this is probably better protocol. There's an growing sentiment to remove the Canadian flag and replace it with Florida flag in the same position. Again, I have to reluctantly agre that the Canadian flag shouldn't be there, just because it shouldn't, let alone it's being used as a marketing ploy. I will note mobile homes have bad reputation, my favorite one here by far is a double wide minimalist masterpiece, though. It's on a corner lot with the long side being set far back from the road. There's more grass between it and the road than any of the other homes in the street. Everything is in perfect condition. Full window metal exterior storm shutters cover every window. I don't doubt that it's insulated for efficiency and complete noise insulation. It's owned by a Canadian. It's being sold. A number of Canadians are selling. I haven't looked at the price but 150k wouldn't surprise me. I'd move there if I could do it. Then I'd sue housemate for partition taking half the value of my mobile home and forcing him to move out of the park. Living alone would be my idea if heaven on earth. I had to put him in his place yesterday because he went a step too far. I did it without mercy or regret. I didn't hear a peep from him for the rest of the day or night and he left before I woke up. I haven't seen him today. I wouldn't mind not seeing him again. If you got this far, thanks for reading.

Good article. It’s always been tough to make any $ on houses. It’s the big reason we stuck to commercial work.

Well, perhaps Polis can ceremoniously light a bonfire in front of the capitol and toss the offending picture on as a sacrifice!

At least Elon Musk is stepping down. Or pretending to as some would have it. Him with his chainsaw. A South African Nazi. Not a metaphor. I used to find him annoying. Now I see him as the personification of a nightmare.

Among the many problems, one is the involvement of private, for-profit companies. they worked for GEO, the private company contracted to run the facility, and not Ice, the government body that would decide her fate. while the private companies who own the facilities are run for profit, there’s no incentive to get people out quickly Also please don't quote this post, I'll be editing it soon.

Lol! No, I ended up with a pile of parts. I couldn't put them back together. I knew the watch would be ruined by my experiment. It was the kind of watch aimed at office workers before the quartz revolution and cellphones. It was a watch for collectors by the time I bought it. It wasn't an expensive IWC like the ones now.

Meaningless votes that meant nothing? Schumer could have put a wrench in this disaster but the Party has become a nihilistic disaster in and of itself.
