I think we have one or both of them here. But they are a 5 mile or so drive from here compared to maybe a mile to our favored supermarket. We’re weirdos though, because the locals drive everywhere and that feels like a slog to us. I guess I should look at the prices to see if they’re worth the travel. Ms. RP used to drive to the Costco in Bayonne, NJ once a week for bulk items, but she’s even doing that less often these days.

It seems to me to be decorated the way new high end London apartments are decorated. The aspects that stood out the most to me were: the darkness of it (I don't mean gloom; I just mean darkness); New York apartments don't have this aesthetic,... and, the light fixtures looked to me like the ones you see in new high end London apartments.

I have a daughter intending to relocate to Hokkaido later this year. I'm looking forward to visiting them and learning a tiny bit of the language.

Looks great. I generally reject crockpot recipes too, and I also prefer them simpler rather than tricked out with fat.

I associate croutons more with Caesar salad than soup. Oyster crackers or saltines are what I amend soup with more frequently. Dried bread cubes are most likely to become bread pudding or a strada in our home. Big Al

@ShiroKuro That's no thread drift. I should change the title to something more generic, like US Olympics. I don't have TV either, so I can only catch the meager offerings NBC posts on YouTube (and it's stingy to say the best). Here is something I'm not getting: They are using drones now for some events. Alpine skiing, for instance. Now, when I watch videos from vloggers I don't hear nary a peep from the drones they use. Why is it, a "professional" outfit like NBC has these drones that whine and wheez and buzz and distract like crazy? Surely, they can either mute the drone footage, or edit out the sound. It seems very sloppy to me. I'd also love it if more than one media outlet were allowed to cover the games.
