I had to look it up after I noticed the change, but the favicon has been updated. That is the small icon that appears on the tab on your browser, and that helps you identify which site is open in that tab. Sort of a site icon.

The favicon was changed a day or two ago, but you wouldn’t notice the new favicon unless you “clear cache” from your browser then reload.
The current favicon is something I threw together quickly because I need it to help me quickly identify different tabs in my browser (before this, TNCR and WTF-Beta used the same favicon).
Anyway, I’m open to favicon redesign if anyone feels like designing a new one for WTF. The trick is to design one that is easily distinctive (easy to visually pick out from a dense row of browser tabs) and looks good with only a 16 pixel by 16 pixel canvas. :man-shrugging:

Hey, have you seen it? It's totally legible!

I only meant, 16x16 is so small it would be really hard to design something like that.
As it happens, I'm on the organizing committee for an academic conference (which is a huge time suck that I don't recommend). Somehow I got roped into doing a lot of the tech stuff. Mr SK and I are designing the conference merchandise (t-shirts and tote bags for attendees) and various things like signage for the conference site, name tags etc. so I'm using powerpoint and adobe illustrator to design things, and the smaller they have to be, the harder it is... -_-

There's been a change made to what happens when you click on an embedded link in a post. It used to transfer control to the linked site, requiring you to hit your back button to get back to the thread.
It's now been modified to work like it does on WTF, namely it opens a new tab for the linked site rather than transferring control.

Nice! I prefer the new tab way.

I noticed the new favicon had appeared on my browser favorites list. Now I know why. I think it is excellent - easy to spot and identify.
