This myth confuses me a lot.
I've been trying to understand it better for a long time.
I don't mean the myth when used in psychological analysis.
I mean the actual myth.
My confusion is- Echo.
Who was Echo? What was Echo doing? Warning? Echo was an echo of whom or what? Echos are said to die out. Was Echo dying?
This confusion feels like a headache to me. I don't know why but it's almost visceral.
I get the young man in love with his own reflection.
Ok. He's in danger. He might fall in the water because of his vain carelessness.
But where did Echo come from or go to?
And why did Echo have be there in first place?
I'd appreciate any thoughts.
