Thought I'd start a thread to post stories about AI, both the successes and the failures.

Here's one for the win column. Mythos finding the bugs, that is. It could go to the fail column if Microsoft can't fix the bugs before the "bad guys" get access to Mythos....

Anthropic’s Mythos has flagged bugs faster than Microsoft can fix them. Documents reviewed by ProPublica reveal the tech giant's “mad dash” behind the scenes to patch holes before hackers can find and exploit them.

I'm having great success with ChatGPT+

I have setup a very professional Software Development Architecture for doing custom business apps that extend a large open-source ERP for the company I work for at this particular point in time. I absolutely love it! It is without question the most capable, tireless, and most productive software engineer I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with on a professional level.

I expect to be using it on a daily basis for the rest of my professional life.

It's a total win for me.

Fail on the part of a company using AI, not the AI itself, but still...

A mysterious, unnamed company is reported to have accidentally spent half a billion dollars in a single month on Claude AI after forgetting to set usage limits for Claude licenses for employees. The staggering revelation was made as part of a new Axios report that claims U.S. corporations are starting to feel the pinch of overzealous AI spending.

I wonder what kind of credit monitoring and/or collateral requirements Anthropic has. In theory a tiny company worth less than 1MM could run up such a tab and they’d never get paid.
